Refund and Service Recovery Policy

This Policy explains when a one-time document order may be cancelled, regenerated, credited or refunded. It is written for digital document preparation — not a subscription, membership or recurring plan.

Important distinction: the automatic 72-hour code is a service-recovery benefit, not a waiver or substitute for a refund, card dispute, cancellation or other remedy that applicable law requires.

Free identification

No payment is taken during the initial document and scope identification.

72

72-hour recovery credit

A delayed paid order receives a one-time non-expiring code equal to the amount actually paid.

1

Included revision

Correctable same-scope defects should normally use the included revision before refund review.

1. Policy scope

This Policy applies to one-time purchases made through MyLegalDocs AI for the exact document package displayed before payment. It works together with the Terms of Service, Privacy Notice and confirmed checkout scope. A mandatory federal, state or other consumer rule controls over a conflicting clause.

The platform does not promise that every dissatisfaction qualifies for a cash refund. It does promise a defined review process and does not use this Policy to excuse unauthorized charges, permanent non-delivery, deceptive scope, or another nonwaivable obligation.

2. Free identification

The initial identification and scope stage is free. The user sees the likely document, jurisdiction-sensitive limitations, source-material page count, available Standard or Expanded option and exact total before payment. If no payment was captured, there is no refund transaction to process.

3. Cancellation before paid performance begins

A user may request cancellation immediately after payment. If paid generation, research, source review or another substantive performance has not begun and the payment can still be voided or refunded, the operator will ordinarily cancel the order and return the amount actually charged.

Because automated work may begin shortly after confirmed payment, cancellation is not guaranteed merely because a request was sent. A user should send the order identifier immediately and should not assume the order is cancelled until confirmation is received. Any mandatory cancellation right remains unaffected.

4. Unsupported, unlawful or refused paid scope

If payment is captured and the platform later determines that the purchased scope cannot lawfully or technically be provided — including because a state requires unverified registration or certification, the request is a restricted legal service, or the platform cannot provide the displayed deliverable — the affected paid amount qualifies for refund unless the user knowingly accepts a lawful substitute of equal value.

A free informational resource or referral does not replace a paid deliverable unless the user affirmatively agrees.

5. Technical interruption and automatic 72-hour service credit

If an AI-provider, model, storage, rendering, packaging, delivery or other internal technical error interrupts a paid order, the order, files, scope and paid price remain secured. Automatic retries and recovery continue without a second payment.

If the purchased document is not delivered within 72 hours after the recorded technical interruption begins, the system automatically issues one code equal to the amount actually paid for the delayed order. The code is single-use and does not expire. It may be used on a later eligible order. The original delayed order continues processing.

The code does not prevent the user from requesting a refund where non-delivery continues, performance becomes impossible or applicable law provides another remedy.

6. Permanent non-delivery

If the purchased lawful package cannot be delivered after reasonable recovery, regeneration and support review, the user may receive a refund of the affected amount actually paid. The operator may first restore access, regenerate the package or provide the missing file where that fully cures the problem without unreasonable delay.

A delivery email being filtered as spam is not permanent non-delivery if the secure order page and files remain available. The operator will assist with restored access after identity and order verification.

7. Materially defective, incomplete or incorrect files

The included same-scope revision should normally be used for correctable transcription, wording, structure, formatting or omission issues. The user must identify the defect with reasonable specificity and provide correct source information.

A material technical defect that prevents ordinary use and cannot be corrected through revision or regeneration may qualify for a full or proportionate refund. A disagreement with style, a request for a new argument or document, or an issue caused by missing or incorrect user information is not automatically a product defect.

8. Duplicate, unauthorized or incorrect charges

A verified duplicate charge, charge for an order that was not authorized by the account or payment-method holder, or amount inconsistent with the locked checkout total will be investigated promptly. A confirmed platform billing error qualifies for correction and refund of the erroneous amount.

The operator may request reasonable payment and account verification to prevent fraud. Do not send complete card details, bank passwords or security codes.

9. Completed digital service and change of mind

After the purchased document has been generated and made available, a refund is not ordinarily due solely because the user changes their mind, decides not to use the document, expected a different result not included in the scope, or prefers another writing style. The Federal Trade Commission's three-day Cooling-Off Rule generally does not cover sales made entirely online, by mail or telephone. FTC Cooling-Off Rule explanation ↗

This clause does not remove any state-law cancellation or refund right that applies despite completed digital performance.

10. Problems controlled by the user or a third party

A refund is not automatically due because the user supplied incomplete or inaccurate facts, failed to upload a necessary document, missed a deadline, lost a secure link, used an outdated downloaded copy, failed to verify the output, changed the requested scope, or did not follow filing or service requirements.

Likewise, rejection, delay, silence or an unfavorable decision by an opposing party, court, clerk, agency, employer, insurer or other recipient does not by itself prove that the digital service was defective. No legal outcome is promised.

11. Multiple-document bundles and partial refunds

For a bundle, each selected document or child order may be reviewed separately. If one deliverable fails but the others were properly delivered, the refund is ordinarily limited to the locked paid amount allocated to the affected deliverable. A bundle-wide refund may be appropriate where the entire paid package is unusable because of a common platform defect.

12. Promotional codes and service-credit orders

A cash refund cannot exceed the amount actually charged to the payment method. If an order was paid partly with a service credit, the cash portion may be refunded and the used credit may be restored or reissued after review where the service was not delivered. A fully credit-funded order ordinarily receives restored credit rather than cash.

Owner, internal-testing and cost-price codes do not create a public right to a cash amount greater than the amount actually paid.

13. Refund method and processing time

Approved cash refunds are normally sent through the original payment method. The operator initiates the refund after approval; the card network, bank or payment provider controls when the credit appears. Currency conversion, bank or payment-provider fees outside the operator's control may affect the displayed amount.

The user should retain the order confirmation, payment record and support response. FTC consumer guidance recommends keeping purchase records and reading delivery and refund terms. FTC online shopping guidance ↗

14. How to request review

Email contact@mylegaldocsai.com with the subject “Refund Review.” Include the order identifier, payment email, date, amount, concise description of the problem, steps already attempted and the requested resolution. Do not attach card data or unnecessary case documents.

The operator may request secure confirmation of the order or payment identity. A clear request helps distinguish access restoration, revision, regeneration, service credit and refund.

15. Chargebacks, card disputes and complaints

A user may contact the operator first to seek a prompt operational resolution, but this Policy does not prohibit a lawful billing dispute, chargeback, regulator complaint or report to a state attorney general or the Federal Trade Commission. The user should provide truthful information and should not pursue duplicate recovery for the same amount.

If a chargeback or dispute is opened, the platform may preserve the order, consent, payment and delivery records needed to respond.

16. Mandatory U.S. consumer rights

Federal and state consumer-protection, payment, contract, privacy, unfair-practices and specialized document-preparer laws may create rights that cannot be waived. This Policy is interpreted to preserve those rights.

The platform's general online sale is not represented as carrying a universal three-day cancellation period. State-specific rights can differ, and a special contract or rescission disclosure controls when a regulated state service is lawfully enabled.

17. International and EEA/UK consumer rights

Where European Economic Area, United Kingdom or another mandatory consumer law applies, a consumer may have cancellation, conformity, refund or digital-service rights beyond this Policy. If the user expressly requests immediate digital performance, that request and any legally required acknowledgment are recorded at checkout. No acknowledgment waives a right that applicable law makes nonwaivable.

18. Fraud, abuse and inaccurate requests

The operator may deny or pause a request supported by forged records, impersonation, duplicate recovery, intentional misuse, a false charge claim or refusal to provide proportionate verification. A denial does not affect a legitimate nonwaivable remedy and will state the reason where required by law.

19. Changes to this Policy

The effective date and version appear at the top. The policy recorded with the order governs that purchase unless a later change is required by law or is more favorable to the user. Material changes apply prospectively.

20. Contact

Send refund, regeneration, restored-access and technical-recovery requests to contact@mylegaldocsai.com. Contractual operator details and the postal legal-notice address appear only in the Terms of Service.

21. Feedback is not a refund request

The anonymous product-feedback form does not identify the purchaser, verify an order or begin refund review. A request involving non-delivery, an incorrect locked amount, a duplicate charge, an unsupported paid scope, a defective file or restored access must use the refund or support channel stated in this Policy and include the order identifier.

A product observation submitted through Help improve the service may inform future improvements, but it does not stop a deadline, cancel an order, preserve a chargeback period or replace a legally required notice.

Use the remedy that matches the problem.

Access issue: request a restored link. Correctable same-scope defect: use the revision. Technical interruption: recovery continues and the 72-hour code applies. Permanent failure, unsupported paid scope or billing error: request refund review.

Paid-order technical recovery and 72-hour service credit

If a paid order is interrupted by an AI-provider, model, storage, rendering, packaging, delivery, or other internal technical error, the order, files, paid scope, and price remain secured and automatic retries continue. If the document is not delivered within 72 hours after that technical interruption begins, the system automatically issues a one-time service-credit code equal to the amount actually paid. The code does not expire. The current order continues processing and no second payment is required. This service credit does not replace mandatory consumer cancellation, refund, dispute, chargeback, or other legal remedies.
